Rich diversity of programs & partnerships
- Polyglot’s engagement reaches an eight-year high, reaching over 41,000 audience members nationally and internationally.
- Our work is presented in the United States, Hong Kong, Norway and the United Kingdom, as well as Melbourne, Sydney, Parramatta, Perth, and regional Victoria and New South Wales.
- Polyglot delivers three world premiere seasons: Pram People (Hong Kong Edition), created in collaboration with WestK FunFest; Pram People (UK), presented by Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, Creative Barking and Dagenham, and Freedom Festival Hull; and FLOAT, commissioned by MPavilion as part of the MStudio commissioning program. MPavilion is a flagship initiative of the Naomi Milgrom Foundation.
- The second iteration of Totems is held on Wailwan Country in central NSW at Warren Central School, in collaboration with Warraan Widji Arts.
- Polyglot commences the important work of developing a formal Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). The working group is comprised of artists, staff and Board members.
- Polyglot and Arts Centre Melbourne receive a PAC Australia IMPACT Award; national recognition of our partnership to share When the World Turns in Victorian specialist schools.
- When the World Turns tours to 10 specialist and special development schools in Victoria
- Us. Here. Now. our Kids Collaboration with The Venny, supported by the City of Melbourne through the Arts and Creative Investment Partnership fund, embarks on its second year. A short film documenting the project was created, and screened at Fed Square for Children’s Week 2024; an exciting opportunity for the experiences of local children to take centre stage in the heart of Melbourne.
- Creative development begins: Art Tree; Whirlwind; and Catch the Light, our collaboration with Flow Festival Australia.
