A Seven-Year Audience High
- Cat Sewell commences as Artistic Director and co-CEO, joining Kath Fyffe, Executive Director and co-CEO.
- Polyglot’s engagement reaches a seven-year high, reaching over 39,000 audience members nationally and internationally.
- Our shows are presented in Canada, the United States, Hungary, Norway, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, as well as rural Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania.
- Polyglot delivers the world premiere season of Come Back Home, an Esplanade co-commission co-produced with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay (Singapore). Australian and Singaporean artists collaborated both online and in person to develop the show. This project is assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia.
- Polyglot works in partnership with Rom for Dans and Den kulturelle skokesekken (The Cultural Rucksack) to deliver Ants (Maur in Norwegian) across schools in Norway.
- We travel to Japan to deliver Over the Sea in the Yokohama region, again partnering with long-term collaborators Acchi Cocchi. This project is supported by the Australia-Japan Foundation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.
- Polyglot spends a week in-residence at Glenroy Specialist School to develop a new version of When the World Turns, commissioned by Arts Centre Melbourne, to tour in specialist and supported inclusion schools.
- Paper Planet tours to seven specialist and supported inclusion schools in Victoria, supported by the Victorian Department of Education Strategic Partnerships Program and the Cassandra Gantner Foundation.
- In December, Polyglot regains Four Year Investment for 2025-2028 from Creative Australia, the Australian Government principal arts investment and advisory body.
