March 13 - March 14 2026
Pass It On at March On 2026 (Singapore)
Join artists from The Artground (Singapore) and Polyglot Theatre (Australia) to create, play and explore ideas for a brand-new interactive installation.
A cross-cultural collaboration between artists in Australia (Polyglot Theatre) and Singapore (The Artground), presented by Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay
Pass It On celebrates intergenerational play across cultures. Grandparents and grandchildren aged 3-11 years are invited to join artists from The Artground (Singapore) and Polyglot Theatre (Australia) and explore the different ways that memories and games are passed on. Between family members, the people we know, and those on the other side of the world. Create and play with paper, share stories, and deepen the grandparent-grandchild bond.
These workshops are part of an ongoing creative process in both countries and will contribute to the final installation.
Take your time. Skip to a beat. Make your mark. Pass It On keeps it rolling.
Pass It On is a cross-cultural exchange between artists in Australia (Polyglot Theatre) and Singapore (The Artground), supported by Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay (Singapore) and ArtPlay. Polyglot received grant funding from the Australian Government through Austrade’s Export Market Development (EMDG) program.

The Artground
The Artground – A Curious Place to Be is managed by The Ground Co Limited, a registered arts charity dedicated to children from birth to nine years old. Their vision, ‘To let art do what art does’ defines their work. As the first multi-disciplinary children’s arts centre in Singapore, they aim to provide positive arts experiences across a variety of art forms, and build bridges between artists, educators, parents, and children from various communities, enabling them to discover and co-create meaningful arts experiences together.

Esplanade & March On 2026
Born from a vision formed in 1989, Esplanade is where Singapore’s performing arts spirit takes centre stage. Beneath our iconic domes, we are a home for stories, shaped by our community and open to all.
We champion the arts for today and tomorrow — nurturing artists, inspiring audiences and seeding the future of Singapore’s creative landscape

March On is Esplanade’s annual festival for young audiences, a vibrant celebration of the stories and experiences that matter to them. With a sense of playfulness and wonder, the festival also supports artists in crafting meaningful and imaginative works for young audiences.
