Acknowledgment of country

Polyglot acknowledges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and create, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. For more than 65,000 years, children and families have created and played here, and we are grateful to make our art on this country too.

Cubbyhood: A Window Exhibition

Reflections on Play in the Home.

A Cubbyhood workshop photo. A child peers through a cardboard window under a blue piece of cloth. The child has black hair and is smiling. Photo by Suzanne Phoenix.

In 2024, the children of five local kindergartens (Clare Court, Saltwater, North Maidstone, Braybrook, Billy Button) have drawn, built and played with artists from Polyglot Theatre, reflecting on ideas of family, home and community. Visit this special window exhibition to celebrate the curious, insightful record of their collective imaginings.
