April 15 - April 18 2026
Art Tree at Brighton Town Hall
Bring natural materials to life with colour and imagination.
Presented by Bayside City Council
Bring natural materials to life with colour and imagination. A gentle, creative Play Space with natural materials and paint markers, Art Tree invites you to find your magic, connect through colour, and draw – everywhere! Spread your branches and reach for the sky. You are the art.
Using colourful paint pens, children and families can make their mark on locally foraged natural materials such as leaves, sticks and seed pods. Together with Polyglot artists, everyone adds to a community of sculpted trees. Play with wands, trace a line on the floor, and explore the hanging, drawing branches of Art Tree.
Come, stay a while, and connect to nature as you connect as a family.

How to prepare
- When you come to a Polyglot performance, we recommend you wear comfortable clothing that allows you to enjoy moving. Remember that you have come for an adventure and there are many ways to begin finding your play. You are curious and this space is yours. Just as you might at the beach, do you take your time and dip your toe in to warm up, or do you run and jump right in? The worlds we set up welcome you to take your time and find your own way to your imaginative play; and our performers are there to join you, or play alongside you, and look after these worlds and their inhabitants. See you soon!
Family Access
- Water, infants’ bottles and breastfeeding/chestfeeding are welcome, however we do ask that there is no eating (where possible) in the Art Tree performance space.
- Food and drinks (including takeaway options) are available to purchase nearby on Wilson Street and Church Street, Brighton.
- You’re welcome to BYO food and drinks for picnicking before or after Art Tree. There are green areas and gardens around Brighton Town Hall.
